Most of these are favorite hymns of Baptists, and a few are songs that I wrote and re-recorded. Also, I included one song "Your Statutes" that was written by Judy Rogers that was based on Psalm 119. I put these on CDs back in 2008.

Jessie Jo Burke (Heuer)
These are songs that were recorded by Chris and Jessie back when they were just young teenagers! Jessie played the keyboards, and both sang. I don't know who wrote most of these songs, other than the two of mine they recorded. I transferred these to a CD from an old cassette tape I found, and the quality is pretty poor (I seem to say that a lot!). Once more, I hope that you can enjoy these songs by these young Christians, who are not so young anymore!
The Road of Grace
The Following songs are from the projects "Tangible Truth", "Paint Me a Picture", and "The Road of Grace", which I wrote. "The Songs of the Light" are a few songs by miscellaneous artists that we recorded. Most of these were written and recorded in the late 1980's and 90's! (I was about 35 years old!) They were recorded using inexpensive 4-track home studio equipment, so the recording quality isn't the best, to say the least! Additional sound quality was also lost when converting from old cassette tapes to digital. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy them. Some of you might even remember some of these songs! These songs mark an era in my young Christian life! They bring back a lot of memories!
The projects "Tangible Truth", "The Songs of the Light", and "Paint Me a Picture" were played and sung by me and my blessed brother in Christ, Mike Grierson, who passed away a few years ago during COVID. Mike sang and played keyboards. Charles "Chip" Boldman also sang with us on several of the songs. Some of our children and our wives sang with us on "Our Heritage" and a couple other songs.
The last project, "The Road of Grace", I recorded by myself with guitar, keyboard, Omnichord, and harmonica. I was a real "one-man band"!!!
This project was actually intended to be the journey of the Christian life from salvation to glory, with all of the trials and conflicts in between. Sort of a "Pilgrim's Progress" of sorts. This was my only music work with a predetermined theme with songs written to go along with the theme. The picture on the "Road of Grace" album is me on my bicycle in Arizona when I was 61 years old riding across the country from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, to Salona Beach, California.
I have also included PDF files of most of my songs so anyone who might want to use them for the Lord may do so. These have the words and chords, which I use to play and sing them. My prayers are that some of these songs might be used to glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in some small way.
"Newer and Older" Songs
by an Older Baptist Preacher!
These are a some of the latest songs that I wrote, and a few older songs that I never reduced to tape or CD. Also, I've included some Isaac Watts hymns from his "Psalms of David" that I put to music. I added choruses to these and made a few VERY SMALL changes in his words. You may not have heard these before as I don't know that they have ever been put to music.
Lord willing, I plan to add to this song list as time permits.
The recording quality is just barely tolerable in my opinion (vocals, instruments, recording equipment and engineering), but I hope you can still receive a blessing from them in spite of their shortcomings!
