Brother Dan Stepp is involved in helping with the Philippine mission works on a full-time basis. We believe that these Philippine mission works are a worthy cause and that a great work is being done there by our Lord. Many Christians in the Philippines have been brought to believe the doctrines of grace, the local New Testament Church truths, and the many other wonderful Bible doctrines that true Baptists stand for. Those involved in the Philippine mission works have termed it a “doctrinal revival” in the Philippines.
The result of this “doctrinal revival” is the beginning of many new sovereign grace mission works and New Testament Baptist Churches in the Philippines. Another result is that many preachers and families have been ostracized and excommunicated for the truth’s sake. Many have lost there means of income and are struggling financially. These Baptist brethren love the truth more than they do money, but they do need help to continue the great work that the Lord has begun in the Philippines.
We encourage churches of like faith and order to support the Philippine mission works as the Lord leads. Brother Stepp is concerned about the proper use and distribution of US mission monies in the Philippines, and tries to insure that these funds are used efficiently and effectively. All of the pastors and missionaries are native Philippines, and require relatively little financial support to supply their individual needs. We believe that these are important incentives for supporting these works.
